1. I hate to admit it, but I was a stereotypical little girl (barbie dolls, ponies, posing in pretty dresses for pictures, dreaming of my future wedding).

2. I can crochet but don't have the patience to finish anything

3. I met my husband through online personals.

4. I sucked my thumb until I was 8 yrs old.

5. My husband and I are avid movie lovers and own over 200 DVD's!

6. While painting a cabin with a friend, we reenacted a Harry Potter duel from the movie "HP and The Chamber of Secrets."

7. My 11th grade English teacher used to yell at me from all the way down the hallway in school (at the top of his lungs) "Chirp!" This, for some reason, was his nickname for me.

8. When I remember my first dog, Andy, I picture in my mind all the times I tried to create a "moment" with him by forcing him to sit next to me on our bank during the sunset. (how dramatic of me).

9. I LOVE that there is a fair amount of Scottish heritage in my genes.

10. I won oral reading contests in my school both in 3rd grade and in 5th. (In the 5th grade competition I broke a tie when we both read a passage from 'The Hobbit' in which Gollum spoke about his "precious." (Does this make me creepy?)

11. I was held back in 3rd grade not because of failing grades, but because I'd had a very rough time in 2nd and 3rd grade with other kids bullying me and I didn't handle it well emotionally. (Of course I hated this at the time, but it soon proved to be something that changed the course of my life and made it immensely better).

12. I don't like to swim in water where I can't see the bottom.

13. I can sing quite well, but my whistling is so off key my husband cringes.

14. I always considered my parents as some of the few, the proud, the "Cool Parents."

15. It only takes one or two cocktails to make me turn into a giggling 5 yr old again.

16. I'm strangely OCD at times. (If my husband arranges M&M's in a bowl by color and number, I can't bring myself to disturb the pattern by eating one. (of course, I figure out that if I take one of every color, it's ok... as long as there's still an even number remaining...see what I mean?) Sadly, that's only one example ...

17. I was in government class when the Trade Centers were hit.

18. I am a geek on all levels: Band Geek, Chorus Geek, Theater Geek, Disney Geek, Japanese Anime Geek, Computer Geek... need I go on?

19. All my cats past and present have been named for flowers.

20. Two couples started seeing each other after attending my wedding.

21. Swimming in the ocean makes me nervous because I once had a jellyfish swim into my bathing suit when I dove into a wave.

22. I would love to pursue a career in the acting side of theater if only I could audition. (small problem).

23. I'm really glad my sister and I grew up. We used to drive each other insane until I moved away for college. Now I consider her a best friend.

24. An embarrassing obsession: Reality TV game shows like America's Next Top Model, Amazing Race, Survivor. (Thank goodness I cured myself of American Idol two years ago).

25. I hate driving, but love to ride in the car.

26. I have no sense of direction and no depth perception. (No wonder I hate to drive).

27. What I would like to hear God say when I get to heaven: I'm proud of you. All your loved ones (including your pets) are waiting for you just this way.

28. I can walk while reading a book. (I could even navigate the busy halls in high school while doing so).

29. I had an obsession with "The Beatles" for a year in 8th grade. I even wore black on the anniversary of John Lennon's death.

30. In elementary school I used to think that swinging on the swing set during recess was the most joyous thing in the world.
